The elves had a bit too much mulled wine at the Christmas Party! They followed Santa to one of the houses and played with children's toys, and even locked away their presents. If you manage to get all the presents under the tree before the children wake up, you might just get a white Christmas!
Book NowIs the door actually locked?
+
The door will not be locked during the game. If a player leaves the room for any reason during the game their time will not be paused. However, this can change at the discretion of the game master and each case will be judged as such. If any player feels uncomfortable or ill during the game allowances will be made to the best of our abilities.
Is it scary?
+
Our escape rooms have themes and props to set a mood, but they are not haunted houses intended to scare players. Some rooms may be in complete or semi-darkness, accommodation will be made for players that have a phobia of the dark.
Are there live actors, and will they touch me?
+
No, there are not any live actors included in the games.
Is the activity physically strenuous?
+
Escape rooms require brain power, not physical strength. At most, the activity will involve some squatting down to look under an object or to get a closer look at something. No climbing or heavy lifting is required.
Will I have to play with strangers?
+
You will not be grouped with strangers. Booking a room for a minimum of two players will give you the entire room for the duration of the game.
Will we be given hints during the game?
+
Hints will always be available to players during the game. We do not penalise for any clues.
What happens if we don’t escape in time?
+
Escape rooms are challenging, so many players get close, but do not escape in time. At the end of the allotted time, players will be freed and the solution explained. Please keep the solutions confidential so you do not spoil the experience for future players. If timings allow, we may be able to give players extra time, but this is not guaranteed and is at the discretion of the game masters.
Can we play the same room more than once?
+
Yes. If you haven't solved a room, and you want to try again at another time, let us know and we won't give you the solution at the end. However, when you reattempt the room, you will not be eligible for the leaderboard.
Do I need a reservation to enjoy an escape room experience?
+
A reservation is not necessary, although prefered. We will accept players who have not made an appointment, but we cannot guarantee availability.
Can I cancel or reschedule my reservation?
+
Bookings are refundable within 48 hours of your booking time, and within 48 hours notice of your scheduled game. However, if you need to reschedule in the event of an emergency, please call in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.
How far in advance should I make my reservation?
+
It is recommend that players book as far in advance as possible to ensure their desired date and time is available.
Can I book the escape room for a private party/corporate event?
+
Yes. We are happy to accommodate single room private experiences, multiple room events, and team competitions. Private events include exclusive use of the rooms, and can even be held outside of regular business hours. Please see above or contact us and we will be happy to arrange a personalized event for your group.
Can I bring extra people?
+
Recommended group sizes have been prepared based on the square footage of the room and puzzles involved. However, we will consider requests for an additional 1-3 players, so long as the room can accommodate. You simply reserve the room for the expected number of people and pay for the extra guests upon arrival having pre-arranged for the additional people. Please contact us beforehand to ensure that new people can be accommodated.
What happens if I arrive late?
+
It is recommended that players arrive 15-20 minutes prior to the scheduled time. If you arrive after your start time, then in order to avoid disruptions we may have to take time off your game. If you are more than 25 minutes late then we may have to cancel your booking, however, if you know that you are going to be late and call us before your booking we may be able to arrange something for you.
How long does each event last?
+
Each game has an allowed duration of 60 minutes, assuming that the team does not escape before this time. Players are advised to arrive about 15 minutes early to receive a story and room briefing before starting the game. If the players chose to they may have a team photo at the end of the game, this would take a few minutes.
What should I bring with me?
+
All you need to bring are your wits. The answers to the clues, riddles and puzzles are all in the room, and players can escape the room using basic logic, deductive reasoning, and teamwork skills.
Do I need to wear anything special?
+
No, players should simply wear comfortable clothing. We would advise against clothing that would make movement hard, such as high heels.
Is the location handicapped accessible?
+
Unfortunately, we do not have a lift, and we are on the first floor. Therefore, anyone wanting to participate would need to be able to climb the stairs.
Can children participate?
+
Yes. Children under the age of 16 must have an adult with them. If the participants are a group of children under 13, a staff member can go into the room with them, in character, to give subtle clues and help them around the room.
Are mobile phones permitted in the room?
+
No. Boxes will be provided for any electronic devices to be put into before players enter their room.
Are food and drinks allowed in the escape room?
+
No food or drinks are allowed in the escape room. In addition, it is recommended that alcoholic beverages are not consumed prior to participating in an escape room, as players will need all available brain power. We reserve the right to refuse entry to players who appear intoxicated. If people want to stay after completing their room, they are welcome to stay in our debrief rooms and bring their own food and drinks (including alcohol). Please ring for prices and availability.
Are animals or pets allowed in the escape room?
+
We welcome well behaved dogs that would be comfortable in an escape room environment. Please bear in mind it may be a loud and exciting environment.
Can I take photographs/videos?
+
Unfortunately, we cannot allow photos or videos to be taken within the escape rooms, so the puzzles remain a mystery for future players. However, we encourage photos to be taken outside the room. If you post any images online, make sure to tag us!
